SENIOR ART JUDGE

REGINA HONA
Regina’s first career was that of a private secretary but eventually her love of painting took over and she turned to painting professionally in 2001. She was trained in oils in the classical tonal method but her style is now that of modern impressionists and it was soft pastels that have allowed her style to develop further. More recently Regina has been focusing on water and boat subjects as well as portraiture which allow her to express her joy of these subjects both mentally and spiritually. She is a sought after demonstrator and workshop tutor Australia wide and also Curator for The Friend’s Gallery of Very Special Kids charity in Malvern, Victoria. More recently Regina has been a finalist in the A.M.E. Bale in 2006 and 2008; winner of the Terry Collins Award at A.G.R.A.’s annual Art Excellence Awards in 2007; twice won Best in Show (2004, 2005) at the Pastel Society of Victoria’s Annual Exhibition; been a finalist for the last two years for the ANL Maritime Award as well as for the Shirley Hannan National Portrait Prize in Bega. As a member of Fusion Six, their highly successful About Face exhibition has toured to regional galleries in Queensland and Victoria and a quality book of the exhibition has also been produced.

PHOTOGRAPHY JUDGE
PETER DWYER
Peter Dwyer has had a lifetime interest in photography, receiving his first camera at age ten and making his first darkroom print not long after.
By way of formal training he has a Diploma of Black and White Photography and used these skills in a home darkroom until he succumbed to the lure of the new technology. An enthusiastic student of Photoshop he leads the Advanced Photoshop Special Interest Group for the Frankston Photographic Club and also provides individual tutoring. He is a member of the Australian Photographic Society, the National Association of Photoshop Professionals and is an accredited judge for the Victorian Association of Photographic Societies.
JUNIOR ART JUDGE
LINDA STORTO
Linda is an Art teacher at Yarrabah Special Development school in Aspendale. She has taught Art in Primary and Secondary schools in Melbourne and is currently studying a Diploma of Art therapy at Pheonix Institute. She is passionate about encouraging students of all ages and abilities to express themselves through Creative Arts.
